Amendment effort (posted October, 2009):  The deadline for sending in the ballot in our recent effort to amend the Indenture of Trust and Restriction, was October 10th.  The ballots were tallied by City and Village Tax Office and the results were announced at the subdivision meeting on October 20th.  All seven items on the ballot failed because too few residents returned their ballots.  The final results are posted below and, as you can see, 5 of the 7 ballot measures were passing easily.  The Trustees believe we have missed an opportunity in letting this fail for this reason.

 

                                    Item 1 - Increase Trustees from 3 to 5

                                           ►Yes=192 (74%)     ►No=68 (26%)

 

                                    Item 2 - Elect trustees, assign position later

                                           ►Yes=176 (68%)     ►No=83 (32%)

 

                                    Item 3 - Lot owners must be paid-in-full to vote

                                           ►Yes=218 (84%)     ►No=42 (16%)

 

                                    Item 4 - Quorum = 15 lot owners

                                           ►Yes=170 (66%)     ►No=87 (34%)

 

                                    Item 5 - Trustees required to be lot owners AND residents

                                           ►Yes=221 (85%)     ►No=38 (15%)

 

                                    Item 6 - Assessment decreased to $175.00, future increases to follow

                                    a CPI formula with a cap of $300.00

                                           ►Yes=135 (52%)     ►No=123 (48%)

 

                                    Item 7 - Language allowing SD to file for delinquent dues

                                           ►Yes=184 (71%)     ►No=74 (29%)
